3. Jalen Carter

This might be a controversial one since Jalen Carter hasn’t played a single snap, but it’s a pick I’m pretty confident in.

First of all, Carter fell way lower than he should have in the draft. He was considered the No. 1 prospect on some experts’ boards, and seeing him go outside the top five was a huge shock. And because of the rookie contract scale, the Eagles don’t need to pay him like a top-five pick. Instead, his salary reflects that 9th overall draft slot.

All early indications from training camp are that Carter is fully living up to the hype, too, which just solidifies how much of a bargain we’re getting.

Carter won’t carry a cap hit over even $7 million until we pick up his fifth-year option in 2027, so he’ll remain one of our most underpaid players for quite a while.
