3. Ty Zentner

Phily’s punting competition has always favored the incumbent Arryn Siposs, and his case was only strengthened on Thursday.

Ty Zentner got the start with Siposs off for the night, giving the former a golden opportunity to put some pressure on the latter. Instead, Zentner failed to make the most of his chance.

The undrafted rookie launched 5 punts but averaged a lackluster 39.8 yards per attempt. His low production wasn’t due to any efforts to pin the opposition deep in their own territory, either — he simply failed to boom any kick in the open field.

Zentner posted a long of just 44 yards on the night as well, indicating he might not be NFL-worthy at this point. The Eagles can’t afford to have a punter who sets opposing teams up with good field position consistently, so it’d be no surprise if Zentner doesn’t stick around much longer.
