Jeimer Candelario, 3B

One position where the Phillies could use some help is at third base. Edmundo Sosa has been manning the hot corner for most of the season, but his bat (.685 OPS, 4:45 B/KK ratio) leaves a lot to be desired.

If Philly wants to upgrade its offense, third base is one of the easiest places to do it. Jeimer Candelario is having a nice season with the Nationals and could give the lineup a boost.

The 29-year-old is currently batting .254/.333/.474 with 15 homers and 27 doubles for Washington. He’s also a switch-hitter, which helps bring balance to any lineup.

The Nationals are one of the few teams in obvious sell-mode this year and will certainly be looking to move veterans like Candelario, who is a free agent at the end of the season. He could provide a short-term lift to the Phillies’ offense in exchange for prospects, which Dombrowski is always happy to deal.

If you think the Phillies will improve at the deadline and make another run at the World Series, make sure to bet on it at DraftKings Sportsbook. If you sign up for DraftKings through the Section 215 link below and bet at least $5 on Philly to win the Fall Classic, you’ll instantly get a $150 bonus. You don’t need to wait for the bet to settle like you do at most sportsbooks, either, so you’ll get that $150 right away and start building your bankroll. This offer won’t be around forever, though, so sign up now to cash in!

Now, onto what I’m sure is going to be the most polarizing option on this list.
