The 2022 Philadelphia Phillies even making it to the World Series felt like a dream come true for most fans. Although they didn’t win it all, things are set up for a strong National League Pennant defense in 2023.

What would a dream Phillies starting lineup look like? In 2023, this is one example of an even more powerful starting nine from top to bottom. Get ready to start gushing over this team.
Phillies dream starting lineup: Batting first Trea Turner, SS
Trea Turner is the shortstop of our dreams. He can run. He can hit for power. He can do just about anything the Phillies could ever ask for from him. A very realistic possibility for the Phillies; we may be able to snap awake and see him wearing red pinstripes in 2023 and beyond.
Turner enters the free agent market coming off of an awesome season for the Los Angeles Dodgers. Phillies fans will know him well from his earlier days with the Washington Nationals. He’s even better now and about to get paid a lot of money.
There isn’t a free-agent hitter the Phillies could use more. Arguably the best leadoff hitter available, he’d help fill in a major gap. No longer will we have to see Kyle Schwarber occasionally pop a leadoff home run and strike out three other times in a game. He can fall down in the lineup to somewhere a little more appropriate. Turner can cause chaos at the top.
