3) Philadelphia Phillies fans should have faith because we have seen them get hot before

All you need to do is get into the postseason to have a chance. The Phillies, whose odds do favor them getting into the playoffs, could simply get hot again then take off much like they did immediately after Joe Girardi was fired.

Yes, they are playing much tougher teams in the postseason. Those clubs will have as much, if not more, on the line. Worse teams in the regular season than the Phillies have gone far into the postseason. All it will take is a healthy Zack Wheeler and Aaron Nola plus maybe one other starter being at his best for them to have a serious shot.

Together with their offense—as long as it doesn’t fall asleep—the Phillies have a shot to be a formidable postseason opponent. We should feel better about having Robertson to close things off. If Philadelphia can shorten games and use their starters for about seven followed by Brad Hand then Robertson, we have to like their chances.

Getting streaky is what the Philadelphia Phillies need. At one point they were 21-29 this season. Although they didn’t take off afterwards to the extent they needed to, we have seen them play much better baseball in these final months. It’s in October when we need to see them turn it up one more notch.
