1. The Eagles could buy-low on Phillip Lindsay

After a brief camp stint with the Indianapolis Colts, Phillip Lindsay finds himself once again on the open market. After signing with the Denver Broncos as an undrafted free agent in 2018, Lindsay’s career was off to a promising start rushing for over 1000 yards in each of his first two seasons.

Since then, Lindsay’s story has been a bit less of a fairy tale, but he still managed over 500 yards in a secondary role behind Melvin Gordon in 2020. After becoming a free agent in 2021, Lindsey signed with the Houston Texans. However, he soon found himself the third string back on a team that would finish the season 4-13.

After 10 games, the Texans waived Phillip Lindsay, who was quickly claimed by the Miami Dolphins. He would go on to play four games in, with the team averaging just under 30 yards per game.

Phillip Lindsay is undoubtedly not the player he was during his first two seasons in Denver. However, Philadelphia does not need him to be; they just need him to be an improvement between the tackles over what the team currently boasts.

Lindsay was once an elite inside runner, he likely won’t see those heights again, but a stint in Philadelphia could be mutually beneficial as he looks to rebound his career.
