After a week of joint practices against the Browns in Cleveland that featured plenty of highlights and encouraging reports that sang their praises, it certainly feels like the Philadelphia Eagles are starting to live up to the hype that has surrounded them all offseason.

Somehow the buzz around the team that continues to grow weekly has been justified, and the hope that the city could watch a contender in 2022 appears to very much be a possibility.

Although fans didn’t get to watch a majority of the starting unit in game action during the second preseason game of rhe summer, the second team offense and a few key reserves on defense got plenty of time to shine in the first half of the contest with Cleveland. The roster has really begun to take shape, and fans are starting to get a better idea of who’s been rising up the depth chart and who looks to be in the dog house.

The second preseason game created a few new story lines for the Philadelphia  Eagles’ roster.

Some unlikely players have been stepping up in a big way and outperforming their expectations, while some others just can’t seem to get ahead of the curve. There’s always a few surprises you didn’t see coming when the 53-man roster becomes official, and this year is going to be no exception.
