1. Kennedy Brooks

It seemed like Nick Sirianni wanted nothing more than to feed Jason Huntley the ball as much as possible against the Jets to see what he could do. The running back gained 48 yards on 16 attempts for a paltry three yards per carry and this uninspiring performance, when coupled with a lack of a real power backs on this team, could open the door up to Oklahoma UDFA Kennedy Brooks.

Brooks only played 21 snaps the whole night, most of which came on the Eagles’ penultimate drive, but he presumably did enough to earn some extra playing time this coming week. He caught the go-ahead touchdown from Reid Sinnett with less than two minutes to go and averaged nearly a full yard more per carry than Huntley.

Next. Don’t count on a Kareem Hunt trade. dark

With Jordan Howard no longer a member of the Philadelphia Eagles, there appears to be no one else on the roster who can move the chains on those hard-fought two-to-three-yard runs. Brooks, coming in at a stout 213 pounds can be the power back the Eagles need to compliment an undersized group of runners. Keep an eye on whether he has an expanded role versus Cleveland and possibly supplant Huntley for the fourth running back spot.
