3. Cam Jurgens

This one is kind of a cheap pick. When you are selected in the second round of the NFL Draft, you’re expected to be good, but nobody foresaw how good Jurgens would be against the Jets. He played the entirety of the first half, running with the starters as well as the second team, and dominated just about every play.

It was the type of performance that had the experts raving at his promise, and showed Philadelphia Eagles fans that the future of the center position is in safe hands. He looked like a seasoned veteran, not missing a beat or a block all night. His strength, speed, and poise were eerily similar to the man he is learning under and will one day replace. It felt like a star was being born right in front of our eyes.

Reports suggest he has taken his excellent play from last week and carried it over to joint practices with Cleveland. If we see a continuation of his progress on Sunday, then it’s going to be must-watch television.
