Dream Philadelphia Phillies starting lineup: Rhys Hoskins, 1B

Rhys Hoskins bats fourth in this dream lineup because it also means he continues to mash. He has quietly stepped up in Harper’s absence with 19 home runs on the year. He is having one of his typical low average, good OBP seasons. Reaching base at this point in the lineup is critical as it can give the bottom half an extra runner to push across home plate.

Dream Philadelphia Phillies starting lineup: Nick Castellanos, LF

Nick Castellanos had an underwhelming first half where he hit .251 and had only 8 home runs. He was supposed to be so much more. With Segura and Harper back in the lineup and Hoskins continuing to perform well, maybe we get more out of him. Castellanos isn’t getting taken out of this lineup for any reason. In this particular fantasy, he has a historic second half out of the five-hole.

Dream Philadelphia Phillies starting lineup: Brandon Drury, 3B

Up until this point, our dream lineup has Philadelphia working with only guys they already had. However, the dream takes a big turn when they add Brandon Drury to the roster to play third base. Drury would be a superb addition to the Phillies. He hit .278/.336/.528 for the Cincinnati Reds in the first half while also striking 18 home runs. A third baseman capable of playing all over the field, he can get a lot of starts over Alec Bohm at third base but also stay in the lineup every day as he allows others to get some rest as well.
