Philadelphia Eagles: Ranking the quarterbacks rooms of the NFC East
1. Dallas Cowboys
Speaking of Tony Romo, the Dallas Cowboys still employ the quarterback who unseated him back in the day, and with a full offseason to get all the way healthy, he’s only going to get better this fall, even down two of his top wide receivers.
Where does this quarterback, who will be named shortly, fall in relation to the rest of the NFL? Who is to say, but in the NFC East, he’s certainly the top dog that any team would like to have, even if his top backup, Cooper Rush, isn’t anything to write home about.
Most important performer: Dak Prescott
Yup, you guessed it, the quarterback in question and arguably the best quarterback in the NFC East, period – sorry, Sam Howell – is none other than Dak Prescott, the former fourth round pick out of Mississippi State with a million-dollar smile and an even more lucrative collection of off-field endorsements with brands like Campbell’s and Bose.
Is Prescott inherently overrated because he’s a starting quarterback of the Dallas Cowboys? Yes, every Cowboys quarterback is inherently overrated based on the popularity of the team, but that doesn’t mean the hype isn’t justified. Put Prescott against any other quarterback in the NFC East and he wins nine times out of 10, even against Jalen Hurts, who is rapidly coming up as the division’s clear QB2.
