2. Dallas Cowboys

*hot take alert* Trevon Diggs is a good player.

I know, I know; that isn’t a particularly popular thing to say in the City of Brotherly Love, as Diggs is the enemy, but game should recognize game no matter what uniform they wear. Unfortunately for Dallas, Diggs is their best cornerback by a pretty far margin, with the rest of their options, Kelvin Joseph, Jordan Lewis, and Anthony Brown all either ascending young players or average veteran performers.

If Joseph takes a step forward and forms a dynamic duo with Diggs, the Cowboys very well might have the highest-upside cornerbacks unit in the NFL, but for now, they are a good but stable number two.

Top corner – Trevon Diggs

Diggs gets a bad rep for what he can’t do, or the “faults” in his game, but his talents are pretty darn impressive too and maybe get overlooked a bit more than they should.

Does Diggs surrender too many big plays and touchdowns? Yes. Does he get too aggressive at times? See the answer to question one, but he’s also an incredible playmaker who picked off 11 passes in 2022 on his way to the rare two defensive touchdown season. If the Cowboys can figure out a way to run a two-deep shell over top of Diggs, he might just go down as a Hall of Famer.
