2. Dallas Cowboys

In 2021, the Dallas Cowboys had the best offense and best wide receiving corps in the NFC East. They had depth, complementary performers, and most importantly of all, they had a much weaker division to take advantage of.

With many of those advantages now gone, it’s hard not to think the Cowboys took a step back heading into 2022.

With Amari Cooper and Cedrick Wilson Jr. gone and Michael Gallup potentially out for a good chunk of the season, the Cowboys had better hope additions like James Washington and Jalen Tolbert are ready to take a step forward, because otherwise, things might get ugly.

Top Receiver – CeeDee Lamb

Goodness, it’s a shame the Cowboys opted to select CeeDee Lamb 17th overall in the 2020 NFL Draft as revenge for the Philadelphia Eagles trading up to select Dallas Goedert back in 2018, as the pride of Oklahoma has been an absolute beast since taking his talents from Norman to Big D.

After going for 935 yards as a rookie, Lamb somehow took a step forward as a second-year pro, picking up 1,102 yards and six touchdowns on 79 catches over 16 games. His elevation made Cooper expendable and guaranteed Dallas a top-end target for the foreseeable future.
