Philadelphia Eagles. Isaac Seumalo. 4. player. 54. . Guard

If things go well for Isaac Seumalo in 2022, he might just punch his ticket to another long-term contract with the Philadelphia Eagles moving forward.

And if not? Well, Howie Roseman might just have to select yet another interior lineman on Day 2 of the 2023 NFL Draft, as Cam Jurgens may transition from “center of the future” to starting guard like Landon Dickerson before him.

When healthy, Seumalo is a starting interior lineman at the NFL level. He’s a good run blocker, a great pass blocker, and has the athletic profile to be a solid performer in any offense regardless of their preferred blocking scheme. But over his tenure in midnight green, he’s only played 16 games once and has recorded just 64 appearances over six professional seasons.

When arguably the best guard in the NFL, Brandon Brooks, has his future with the team called into question due to injury – and ultimately has to retire as a result – Seumalo’s inconsistent availability could result in the Eagles going another direction and other teams offering contracts that are under his market value.
