1. Philadelphia Phillies outfield free agent target: Michael Conforto.

Not just to stick it to the Mets but also because of the upside, Michael Conforto makes sense as a Phillies addition this offseason. Unlike Castellanos and Schwarber, he isn’t coming off of a career-year. In fact, Conforto had one of his worst in 2021.

The longtime foe of the Phillies batted .232/.344/.384 for the Mets in 2021. His career totals are much better, specifically in the power department. Conforto has averaged 28 home runs per 162 games. Last year, in 125 of them, he had only 14.

Conforto has most of his big league experience in right field. Early on in his career, he was playing a lot of left field. It’s not such a dramatic change to go from one side to the other, especially when you have done it before.

Something to know about Conforto is that he shouldn’t be expected to hit for much higher than .250. Working in his favor is consistency at reaching base. His lifetime .356 OBP has kept him as a productive big leaguer. When his bat goes cold, Conforto still finds a way to get on base.

The only true rebound candidate on this list, the Phillies may even be able to get him on a shorter deal where he can prove his value. I think Conforto does enough things well to go multiple seasons.
