Philadelphia Eagles First-Round Mock Draft: Week 18 Edition
The Philadelphia Eagles have done it, against seemingly all odd the team has made their way to the postseason. Once expected to be a bottom-dweller in the NFL this season, the team has flipped the script and is ready to head to the postseason in Year 1 of their “rebuild.”
Jalen Hurts has continued to prove himself, as has the team’s Head Coach and several veterans who have seemingly found the fountain of youth. The Eagles may not yet be contenders, but they are certainly ahead of schedule, and one major reason for that is the work of General Manager Howie Roseman, who has also made sure that the Eagles are set beyond this season.
Thanks to certain moves before the season, the Philadelphia Eagles will be the first NFL team to make the playoffs and have three or more first-round picks since the Minnesota Vikings in the 2012-13 draft. With these draft picks:
Eagles’ general manager Howie Roseman has the chance to keep Philadelphia competing for the playoffs for years to come.
Currently, the Eagles’ selections stand at 14th, 19th, and 21st overall. While those selections are not as high as initially expected, a playoff appearance certainly makes it worth it. Not to mention that there is still plenty of high-quality talent in the middle of the draft. Players to fill holes that aging veterans will leave behind or even ones that the Eagles are already lacking severely.
