Bulldogs . Travon Walker. 20. player. 814. . Defensive Lineman

Travon Walker is one heck of a defensive talent. Much like fellow Georgia lineman Jordan Davis, Walker contributed an impressive amount of athleticism and versatility to the Bulldogs’ defensive line. Many consider Walker to be a defensive tackle that shouldn’t scare the Eagles off.

While it’s true that Walker has spent the majority of his collegiate career as a tackle, he pulled off an impressive accomplish by casually shedding 15 pounds allowing him to float between tackle and edge. Walker has it all to be able to play at either tackler or defensive end at the next level, thanks to his size, length, and athleticism.

This season will be Derek Barnett’s last as an Eagle, barring a miraculous occurrence. With Brandon Graham recovering from a torn Achilles, the Eagles will have a major need for defensive ends and will likely target an edge rusher more than once in the draft.

The Eagles have a well-documented affinity for versatile defensive line prospects (Fletcher Cox, Milton Williams); it stands to reason that if they are targeting multiple defensive ends, they would prefer at least one to be a flexible fit in Jonathan Gannon’s unique defense. Walker can be just that.

A true “sky’s the limit” prospect, Travon Walker could prove to be one of the steals of the first round when it’s all said and done.
