The drama surrounding Ben Simmons is at an all-time high in Philadelphia as the disgruntled star most recently was told to leave practice and promptly suspended. Many now expect a trade within the week though Daryl Morey has shown nothing but patience during this process so expect to be in for the long haul.

The Philadelphia 76ers have rejected plenty of offers so far and have had their own offers rebuffed as well as Morey is content playing the waiting game. The belief is that a star may shake loose at some point, and while that may be considered a pipe dream, Morey rightfully believes it’s also the team’s best chance at contention.

Is holding out for a star the best play, though? With all that has happened, could Simmons still net the Sixers a true star? If not, Daryl Morey should absolutely start to consider some of the lower-tier offers.

With that said, here are three trades the Philadelphia 76ers should hope for.

And to be clear, these are trades they should hope for, not pray for, so there will be no deal for Damian Lillard or Bradley Beal today, unfortunately.
