Ah, it’s that time of year again, folks: the NFL season is almost upon us.

With training camps in full swing, the preseason a hop, skip, and a jump away, and the countdown to the regular season down to double-digits, speculation is already rampant as to who will make the Philadelphia Eagles‘ initial roster, who will fill out their practice squad, and who will, unfortunately, have to attempt to continue their NFL careers elsewhere, away from the beautiful confines of the City of Brotherly Love.

For 53 lucky players, this is the chance of a lifetime to continue, for 10 more, this is a promising opportunity worthy of appreciation, and for the other 37 unfortunate souls, well, this is the end of the road… at least for now. Plenty of players have been cut, cut, and cut again before finally making an impact in the NFL, but I’m sure it doesn’t feel that way in the moment.

But hey, let’s not focus on the inherent misery associated with the trim down to 53 and instead highlight the fun, excitement, and general good vibes associated with the start of the NFL season.

The Philadelphia Eagles’ roster is starting to take shape.

So, without further ado, allow me to try my humble hand at predicting which players will make the Philadelphia Eagles’ roster this fall and who will be looking for a new job in the not-too-distant future.

Sidebar: To add insult to injury, just because a player makes the Eagles’ initial roster doesn’t mean they’ll be there a week, a day, or even an hour later. Howie Roseman is a waiver wire fiend and will surely sacrifice his 53rd man for a player like Jason Huntley, who he liked coming out of college.
