Albeit a brief stint, Golden Tate is in fact a former Philadelphia Eagles player who remains available to be signed via the free agent market.

Following his uneventful tenure in Philly during the 2018 season (outside of some Wild Card game heroics), Tate went on to sign with the New York Giants, a direct rival of his former team. It didn’t appear like Tate felt all that fondly about his time with the Eagles, and multiple reports were leaked the following calendar year in regards to the team’s former coaching staff not involving him in the offense as much as Howie Roseman intended when trading for Tate.

2019 was a half-decent season for Tate in New York, but he quickly found himself on the outside looking in once more when it came to his team’s overall offensive philosophy. The Giants were trying to get younger and faster, a point proven by their selection of Kadarius Toney in the most recent NFL Draft.

Tate will likely land with a team in need of a WR4/WR5 type player, and Tate himself actually named Indianapolis as a potential landing spot. An interesting bit of information considering who the Colts’ quarterback is these days…
