Philadelphia Eagles: 5 players to keep an eye on during training camp
By David Esser
Kayode Awosika, G
The second undrafted free agent to crack this list, Kayode Awosika is someone who has peaked interest due to his tackle/guard flexibility. The Eagles are always looking to develop new offensive linemen, and Awosika has the athletic profile of someone who could thrive under Jeff Stoutland’s guidance.
A three-year starter at Buffalo, Awosika is most notable for the fact that he earned all conference honors at both right and left tackle. He was Buffalo’s starting RT in 2019, and then turned around and assumed starting LT duties the following season in 2020. Both years saw Buffalo have an incredibly successful running game, which is due in part to the elite level athleticism that Awosika displayed on the outside of the offensive line.
At 6-3 and 307lbs, Awosika has the physical profile of someone who can play both guard and tackle.
Mike Kaye highlighted Awosika as someone to keep an eye on in regards to a future practice squad spot due to this perceived elite-level athleticism. Unless he has an abysmal training camp, one can only assume that he’ll land on the PS appropriately. A 53-man roster spot feels unlikely simply due to how deep the Eagles are at O-Line at the moment.
