The Philadelphia Eagles have 4 main options when it comes to slot WR

Slot by committee
Probably the most likely outcome due to the lack of a solidified starter, running a bit of a “slot by committee” could behoove the Eagles as they continue to experiment with different players.
Greg Ward on this possession, Jalen Reagor on the next, Travis Fulgham in the third quarter, Quez Watkins in the fourth.
You get the point.
One of the biggest reasons the Philadelphia Eagles ended up parting ways with Doug Pederson this past offseason for a less experienced guy in Sirianni was due to player development. Pederson’s staff had done a poor job of building up talent since being hired back in 2016, whereas Sirianni comes from an organization that’s had above average success in said department.
Not boxing any one receiver into a “outside role” or a “slot role” could help out some of the Eagles young wideouts, as Sirianni works to figure out what position works best for them and their abilities.
On the flip side, JJAW had a lot of issues during his rookie season when asked to learn multiple positions within the offense – “wearing too many different hats” as the Eagles put it.
There’s a fine line between developing and overwhelming young talent in the NFL, a line that Sirianni is gong to have to discover this offseason.
