Dallas Goedert

Another player who’s yet to operate as a full-time starter for the Eagles, Dallas Goedert is a sleeper option to rapidly climb up the ranks this season, simultaneously finding his way onto CBS’ Top 100 list.

While he’s still currently on the team’s active roster, the general consensus is that Zach Ertz is going to be moved at some point this offseason due to his lack of willingness to play for the Eagles this year. Even if he’s not traded/released, the expectation remains that Goedert is going to be Nick Sirianni’s TE1 here in 2021.

Just based off that alone, one can expect Goedert’s numbers to take a massive leap forward. A lot of it depends on how well Jalen Hurts played, and if he can get the ball to Goedert on a frequent enough basis, but the potential for growth is definitely there.

Goedert is also looking to get paid this season – some added motivation to churn out elite numbers. If Goedert and the Eagles don’t end up working out an extension before the 2021 season begins, then whatever his final numbers look like will dictate how much money he earns during the offseason.

I guess you don’t absolutely need Top 100 players to succeed in the NFL, but it would definitely help the Eagles rebuilding efforts if some of their pieces developed into that national spotlight. When the team won the Super Bowl back in 2017, they had a whole list of players cracking national rankings left and right.
