Safety

Anthony Harris, Rodney McLeod, K’Von Wallace, Marcus Epps

One of the easier position groups to predict simply due to the lack of competition that exists here, the Eagles safety room should consist of Anthony Harris and Rodney McLeod as the primary starters, with K’Von Wallace and Marcus Epps both rotating in rather frequently.

It’s worth highlighting that Epps is already somewhat familiar with Gannon’s defensive scheme due to the time he spent with the Vikings, something that could give him the leg up on Wallace in the depth chart.

Regardless, both Harris and McLeod are set to be free agents after this season, so I expect the Eagles to work rather hard to get their younger guys on the field.

Special Teams

Rick Lovato, Jake Elliott, Arryn Siposs

Rick Lovato remains as the long snapper and Jake Elliott as the kicker, however the punter position does in fact see a change this season.

Cameron Johnston signed with Houston this past offseason, and Arryn Siposs is the only punter currently on the roster. Should be his job for the taking!

These roster predictions are definitely premature, as more signings and trades could even be on the way, but it does give us a baseline to assess throughout training camp in regards to some of the roster “favorites.”
