A starting offensive tackle for Buffalo from 2018 to 2020, Kayode Awosika turned some heads during the pre-draft process due to the success that Buffalo’s running game had during that timespan. The team’s starting running back recorded 1,000+ yards in all three of the seasons that Awosika started, which saw him receive some All-MAC honors.

A 6-3, 300lbs lineman, Awosika thrived when utilized as a run blocker. He was praised for both his strong hands and his ability to get up into the second level at Buffalo.

There was some talk of Awosika potentially being a Day 3 prospect during this year’s draft, which obviously didn’t happen. Instead, the Eagles signed him as an undrafted free agent, and promptly tasked him with making the switch to an interior position along the offensive line.

Similar to Crider, Awosika is another prospect who the Eagles are likely going to try to coach up over the years as a versatile backup who can fill in at multiple positions. The Eagles current go-to tackle/guard hybrid player is Matt Pryor, who really struggled in 2020.

Just like Crider, I’d be somewhat surprised to see Awosika crack the 53-man roster just due to the linemen that the team already has on the roster. Look out for him to compete for a practice squad spot this offseason.
