Trevon Grimes, WR

A player who I’ve already highlighted previously this offseason, here’s a bit of what I wrote about Grimes upon hearing that the Eagles had signed him:

"Grimes has experience working with new Eagles quarterbacks coach Brian Johnson, and he put together a very productive senior season at Florida in 2020 (38 catches, 500+ yards, 9 touchdowns)… Described as a player who could compete for a WR4 job in the NFL, I actually think Grimes has a fairly decent shot at cracking the Philadelphia Eagles roster should he have a productive training camp. The Eagles are noticeably light at the “X” receiver position, and Grimes projects to be just that at the professional level. His only main competition currently on the roster would be that of Travis Fulgham and JJ Arcega-Whiteside, both of whom are likely competing for their own respective jobs this summer."

Taking into account both Grimes’ above average college production and the Philadelphia Eagles overall lack of depth at the X receiver position, this is another player who I would pay close attention to this offseason. If he outperforms the likes of JJAW or Fulgham during camp, I wouldn’t be surprised in the slightest to see him crack the 53-man roster as WR4/5.
