The Philadelphia Eagles select…

Roseman might stir the pot just a bit with his first-round selection, but I do think he lasers in on filling a major roster hole here in the second. Terrace Marshall Jr. has been a popular mock pick for the Philadelphia Eagles over the last couple of weeks, and the team did in fact officially meet with him.

While there’s some concern about Marshall’s overall lack of consistency, landing him at 37 would be quite the steal for Roseman and the Eagles. He’s a prototypical “X” receiver coming from an NFL-caliber offense at LSU, and he’d likely enter training camp as Jalen Hurts’ top pass-catching option.

Since the moment he realized Alshon Jeffery wasn’t going to be having a longterm future in Philadelphia, Howie Roseman has been trying to address the team’s X receiver position. He took a stab on JJ Arcega-Whiteside in 2019 and gave Travis Fulgham a shot at the job this past season – neither option worked out.

In Marshall Jr., the hope is that the Eagles finally get themselves a young, big-bodied receiver who they can develop on the perimeter. Even if he has some drop issues, this is a risk worth taking outside the first round.
