Who could the Philadelphia Eagles be targeting in rumored trade-up?

Penei Sewell

A similar discussion to the Chase/Pitts one, Penei Sewell is another elite caliber prospect who could slip out of the top six if things fall a certain way. The Falcons, Bengals, and Dolphins could all be suitors for the highly rated offensive tackle, but they could also target skill position players instead.

Atlanta might be in the market for a quarterback (or their own respective trade-down), and Cincinnati/Miami are set to be interested in adding a new #1 pass-catcher, as previously mentioned.

While there’s a pretty large sect of Bengals fans who want the team to prioritize the offensive line in order to protect Joe Burrow, Bengals ownership has never been one to make the logical pick. I could totally see them passing up on Sewell to draft the likes of either Pitts or Chase.

With that in mind, the Eagles (if they’re able to get up to pick 7) would be suitors for Sewell. Roseman has long put an emphasis on “building through the trenches”, and Andre Dillard’s ability to play left tackle is a complete and utter mystery at the moment.

If Sewell were to be available when Philly was on the clock, I find it hard to believe that Roseman would pass on him.
