The Philadelphia Eagles select…

54. S. Middle Tennessee. Reed Blankenship. 189. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. player

Following the additions of Anthony Harris and Andrew Adams, the Philadelphia Eagles’ need for a new safety has been pushed off by at least a year. Assuming Rodney McLeod comes back healthy and K’Von Wallace and Marcus Epps can make steps forward, the Eagles have a relatively deep safety room in 2021.

However, like mentioned previously, the Eagles need to be thinking about the future in this draft. Adding more young talent to their safety room should absolutely be in play.

A 6-1 defensive back who projects best as a nickel safety who can drop into the box at times, Blankenship would provide some decent completion for K’Von Wallace at the position. Blankenship’s positional versatility could also see him used at slot corner or outside linebacker – two positions that the Eagles are still extremely weak at.

54. RB. Oregon State. 224. player. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Jermar Jefferson

Even with Adrian Killins being re-signed this offseason (lol), the Philadelphia Eagles are desperately thin at running back. Boston Scott is an average backup at best, Jason Huntley showed nothing last season as a rookie, and Miles Sanders struggled to stay on the field in 2020.

Jermar Jefferson is a stocky runner and a good athlete, and actually has a bit of juice in his game when to comes to catching passes out of the backfield.

Nick Sirianni was notorious for using multiple RBs in his scheme at Indianapolis – Jefferson would definitely have a role with the Eagles moving forward.
