The Philadelphia Eagles select…

54. Pick Analysis. Josh Myers. Ohio State. 70. player. Scouting Report. IOL

Even if the Eagles were in “win now” mode, it would be foolish of me to not expect a “trench pick” from Howie Roseman with one of his top three picks (an offensive or defensive line selection). Now knowing that the team is in fact fully embracing the rebuild in 2021, the attraction towards a lineman near the top of the draft makes that much more sense.

Jason Kelce decided to run things back for at least one more season, but 2021 is expected to be his final year in the NFL. Josh Myers is a 6-5, 312lbs center who likely needs a year or so of development before he’s ready to be a starting center in the NFL, making him the perfect candidate to groom behind Kelce for a year.

WR. Tylan Wallace. 84. player. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Oklahoma State. 54

It took two rounds and three total picks before the Eagles finally snag themselves a wide receiver, but they do end up with the speedy Tylan Wallace here with their second third-round selection.

If the Eagles really wanted a new #1 WR this offseason, the general consensus is that they would’ve stayed put at pick 6. Instead, they opted to trade down, stocking up on future assets while ruling them out of a potential WR1.

Wallace is a natural speedster who predominately plays on the boundary, which actually gives Nick Sirianni and the Eagles some flexibility in terms of how they line up their receivers. Moving Jalen Reagor inside into the slot could help him have a better sophomore season, or they could even go with a “big slot” by way of Travis Fulgham or even JJ Arcega-Whiteside.

It’s no Ja’Marr Chase or Devonta Smith, but Wallace gives Jalen Hurts a new weapon to utilize nevertheless.
