Marlon Mack

2020 Team: Indianapolis Colts

The name that has been mocked to the Philadelphia Eagles this offseason by everyone and anyone, Marlon Mack reuniting with his former offensive coordinator this offseason makes a ton of sense for all parties involved. Not only do the Eagles need a reliable RB2 to backup Sanders, but Mack is coming off a torn Achilles, and is likely just looking for a job this spring.

Prior to his injury this past season, Mack had a lot of success running in Nick Sirianni’s system. He logged 1,091 yards on 247 carries in 2019, recording eight TDs in the process.

While signing anyone fresh off an Achilles injury comes with some level of inherent risk, the main attraction to Mack (outside of his connection to Sirianni) will ultimately be his price. I could see Mack settling for a one-year, league minimum contract – which would obviously elate the Eagles given their current cap situation.

Mack is still just 25 years old, so there’s reason to believe that he still has some juice left in the tank, and can bounce-back after a year of rehab. He’d be joining the Eagles as a rotational back anyways, so the lessened workload would benefit him and his overall health in the long run as well.
