5 QBs the Philadelphia Eagles could bring in to compete with Jalen Hurts

Tyrod Taylor
Tyrod Taylor was set to be the Los Angeles Chargers short-term starter in 2020 before his lung was accidentally punctured by a team doctor. It was a pretty bizarre and scary situation, and one that ultimately led to the Chargers discovering that they had themselves a future star in Justin Herbert.
With Herbert now firmly the Chargers’ QB1 moving forward, Taylor will likely have to look elsewhere if he wants any shot at competing for a starting job in the near future. Taking into account the connection he has to Philadelphia’s new-look coaching staff, it’s not hard to pin the Eagles as a spot Taylor would like to end up at this offseason.
Nick Sirianni snagged Shane Steichen as his offensive coordinator upon being hired, and he just so happens to have been the Chargers OC this past season in 2020. While his claim to fame is the work he did with breakout star Justin Herbert, he obviously has a relationship in place with Tyrod Taylor as well.
Like previously stated, the Chargers entered the regular season under the impression that Taylor would be the team’s starting QB until Herbert had some more practice reps under his belt.
Similar to Brissett, Taylor would likely be attracted to the Eagles due to the coaching staff, knowing that he might have a leg up on Hurts should there be an “open competition” during training camp.
