Seattle Seahawks: K.J. Wright, LB

The last of the group feels a little like a pipe dream but still has the potential to be done.

The Seattle Seahawks don’t have a ton of cap space going into the offseason and some decisions to make on the roster.

One of the tough decisions to be made is possibly losing linebacker, K.J. Wright. They have Bobby Wagner under contract and recently drafted Jordyn Brooks in the first round, which could mean Wright is on the way out.

If this is the case, the Philadelphia Eagles should look to swoop in and sign Wright.

We’ve made it note already that the Eagles need to take the linebacker position more seriously. What they did last season in neglecting the position played a big part in the defensive struggles. Sure, Alex Singleton was good and broke out to be a true contributor, but the rest of the group wasn’t good. It was either players who were better off on special teams or rookies that weren’t ready. They didn’t have a true veteran like they did in the past.

This is their opportunity to bring in a veteran to teach the young guys and help grow their game for the future. Sure, Wright is 31 now, but he has a ton of experience and knows what it takes to play the linebacker position. He started on the Legion of Boom team next to Bobby Wagner in one of the best defenses we have seen in a long time. He was a leader on the Seahawks defense the last few seasons. He’s seen it all.

Potential Marcus Mariota trade could actually help Philadelphia Eagles. dark. Next

The Philadelphia Eagles need a guy like Wagner to lead the group, not only for next season but so the young guys can become the leaders in the future. For one season, they need to bring in Wright.
