LeSean McCoy is also gunning for ring #2!

The greatest running back to ever play for the Philadelphia Eagles, LeSean “Shady” McCoy is also in line for his second Super Bowl win. Granted, he was inactive with the Chiefs when they won it last year, and will likely be inactive with the Buccaneers again this year, he still gets the rings nevertheless.

Similar to Andy Reid and the head coaching job, the Eagles have looked directionless at the RB position since Shady departed. The DeMarco Murray experiment was a disaster, LeGarrette Blount only hung around for the one season, Jay Ajayi couldn’t stay healthy, Wendell Smallwood was a thing for a little bit, Jordan Howard ended up on the practice squad, and Miles Sanders took a major step back this past season.

To pull on your heartstrings even more, Shady also stated that he would retire “as an Eagle” should he hang up the cleats this offseason. Despite winning a ring with the Chiefs and (potentially) the Bucs, it’s clear that Philly remains McCoy’s true home.

While most Eagles fans will be rooting for the Chiefs today due to the Andy Reid connection, seeing McCoy snag himself a second Super Bowl ring would be pretty sweet too.
