Dallas Cowboys: Noah Brown, WR

The Dallas Cowboys are going to have another interesting offseason in front of them.

They have several free agents to sign and not enough money to go around. Quarterbacks Dak Prescott and Andy Dalton and basically their entire secondary are free agents. Even Michael Gallup could be given an extension this offseason, so that’s another issue for them. There’s either going to be a lot of turnover on that team or a lot of contracts they might regret later on – no real in between.

There is one free agent they have that probably won’t be back that could drive some interest from teams, and that is wide receiver Noah Brown. Fallen in the shadows of the three-headed monster they have in Amari Cooper, CeeDee Lamb, and Michael Gallup, it feels like there’s still a lot of good football ahead for Brown. He seemed to have a bigger role than other years in his career, going for 14 catches and 154 receiving yards in 2020.

It’s not really hard to see the lack of production for Brown, given the other three receivers mentioned above and the turntable of quarterbacks the Cowboys had in 2020.

Next. Justin Jefferson was Ja'Marr Chase's 1B at LSU. dark

I’m never one to go after players on a rival team. It hasn’t really worked out for us in the past (i.e., Demarco Murray and Orlando Scandrick). But there’s a good opportunity to get Brown on a very friendly deal to see if he has the ability to play significant snaps at wide receiver. If you’re the Philadelphia Eagles, it’s worth it to dig into it more.
