Jacksonville Jaguars: Keelan Cole, WR

It’s no secret the wide receiver group of the Philadelphia Eagles has been very poor the last few seasons. Aside from not being good, they haven’t been available. Absences from Alshon Jeffery, DeSean Jackson, Jalen Reagor and JJ Arcega-Whiteside have led to the Eagles needing to rely on practice squad receivers for two straight seasons. As good as they’ve been, the Eagles can’t bank on Greg Ward and Travis Fulgham being their best guys moving forward.

They’ll most likely add one in the upcoming draft, but the Philadelphia Eagles should also look into free agency for receivers that won’t have the highest price tag. This is where Jacksonville Jaguars receiver Keelan Cole comes in to play.

Originally an UDFA pickup from the Jaguars, Cole played his way into a starting role in the Jaguars offense. After 2019, Cole received a second-round tender from the Jaguars, showing that they believe he has great talent and believe he can be a productive NFL receiver. Now, he enters free agency looking for a new opportunity.

In his first four seasons, Cole has shown he has potential to be productive in the NFL. He’s recorded 2,242 receiving yards and 12 touchdowns with the Jaguars. This has come at the expense of a makeshift of quarterbacks in those four seasons, as he caught passes from Blake Bortles, Nick Foles, Gardner Minshew and Mike Glennon. Add into that an up and coming wide receiver group that includes DJ Chark and Laviska Shenault.

With a lot of money to spend this offseason, the Jaguars could look to spend big on some of the other free agent receivers out there, like Kenny Golladay, Chris Godwin, or even a reunion with Allen Robinson. By bringing one of these guys in, it could make Cole the odd man out.
