Series Prediction

Entering the season, this is a series I would have circled as one of the easier ones for the Philadelphia Flyers to win, as the East Division is just absolutely stacked, and the New Jersey Devils were looked at as a bottom feeder. However, the circumstances so far this season make this series a bit trickier to predict, as Lindy Ruff‘s squad come in playing some really good hockey while the Flyers are currently still trying to find their identity here in the early going of the 2021 season.

With all this being said, I still believe this is a prime spot for the Flyers to get back on track – especially with Blackwood’s status still relatively unknown at this point in time. Even with  Elliott set to play the opener for the Orange and Black, I expect the boys to come out flying (pun intended) and for Philadelphia to secure a much needed two points on Tuesday night.

If Blackwood is able to return for the second game of this series, it certainly makes things much more difficult to predict. However, coming off a string of poor performances, I have to believe Hart will be chomping at the bit to get back on track. You may think I am crazy, but I have the Flyers sweeping this series, even if it appearing more difficult than many may have thought even a week ago.

Next. After a bad series in Boston, it is not yet time to panic. dark

Four points are coming the Philadelphia Flyers way, and many stressed-out fans will be able to exhale a bit.
