Travis Fulgham

For a four week period this past season, Travis Fulgham was the greatest thing in the NFL. He caught 27 passes for 378 yards and 3 touchdowns between Weeks 5 and 8, positioning himself as Carson Wentz’ number one receiving option.

However, for whatever reason, Fulgham got banished to the bench following the return of Alshon Jeffery. There’s been speculation that this was a move ordered from the top, and that Howie Roseman “instructed” Doug Pederson to play Alshon over Fulgham, but ultimately speaking it’s the coach’s job to scheme up winning recipes. The Eagles 2020 coaching staff completely abandoned Fulgham despite his promising start, ruining the possibility of him cracking 1,000 receiving yards on the season.

Like previously mentioned with Reagor, the Eagles next head coach will likely be offensive-minded in nature, and will bring a new sense of creativity to Philly’s passing attack. While the team could end up drafting wide receivers DeVonta Smith or Ja’Marr Chase with their first round pick, there’s still plenty of room for Fulgham to be successful as the team’s #2 receiver on the outside, with Reagor possibly moving into the slot.

Fulgham also displayed a high amount of chemistry with Wentz, an important factor to take into account considering the likelihood that the next head coach will be tasked with “fixing” Wentz in 2021.
