Jalen Reagor

Jalen Reagor isn’t even in the same universe as Justin Jefferson, that much has been well documented. Howie Roseman’s decision to pass on Jefferson for Reagor will go down as one of the worst misses in Philadelphia Eagles franchise history, and it will likely haunt the team for years and years to come.

With that said, Reagor isn’t completely void of talent. Most mocks leading into the 2020 NFL Draft had him pinned as a late first round talent, with even the more negative ones having him still as a second round selection. There’s talent in there – the previous Eagles coaching regime just did a bad job getting it out of him.

Current HC candidates like Kellen Moore and Joe Brady have done wonders with young wide receivers in the past, and even a less popular candidate like Josh McDaniels had a great deal of success with slot guys like Wes Welker and Julian Edelman.

Reagor has a very specific skill set, one that thrives upon getting the ball in open space, with the ability to creates loads of YAC. No matter who the Eagles end up hiring, one can only assume that they’ll emphasize using Reagor in a far more productive way.

Not only will this help Reagor have a better sophomore season, but it’ll help QB Carson Wentz have a better year as well (more on him later).
