Trading back.

Ultimately speaking, the Philadelphia Eagles need a lot this offseason. Wide receiver is a clear need, cornerback is a clear need, linebacker is a huge need that we didn’t even discuss due to the the team’s lack of care towards the position, quarterback might be a need, etc. It’s rare for a four win team to be “one piece away” heading into the draft, and the Eagles are no exception. It’s a bad, old roster that borderline needs a complete overhaul.

With that said, one of the best ways to add a plethora of young talent is by auctioning off a top draft pick to the highest bidder. This would allow the Eagles to obtain a handful of draft picks, potentially even picking up extra picks in the second and third round.

Considering how many holes the team has as the moment, and considering how messy their cap situation is heading into the offseason, trading back come draft night might actually be the best strategy for the Eagles at the moment.

No, the Philadelphia Eagles should not try to trade for Deshaun Watson. dark. Next

While we all want to be able to get excited over Ja’Marr Chase or Patrick Surtain II, the potential to add 2-3 young players via a trade down cannot be understated.
