Philadelphia Eagles: 5 good things that happened in 2020
By David Esser
Brandon Graham finally made the Pro Bowl.
After ten long seasons, Philadelphia Eagles legend Brandon Graham finally cracked the Pro Bowl this year! It wasn’t an easy path for BG, as he had to knock off some “bust” labels early on in his career, but he was able to achieve his lifetime goal of making a Pro Bowl here in 2020.
For the most part, Graham has had a really strong 2020 season. He’s recored 8.0 sacks and 13 TFLs through the first 16 weeks of the season, and has really established himself as an edge rusher who can probably continue playing at a high level moving forward.
Considering the Eagles looming cap issues, having Graham elevate his play to that of Pro Bowler this year should definitely make life easier for them when it comes to constructing their defense down the road.
Graham slowed down a bit as the season progressed, but ultimately speaking his Pro Bowl nod is very much deserved. He was absolutely fantastic early on in the year, and his production shouldn’t be lost behind the fact that the Eagles as a team have been so bad. He was genuinely one of the best defensive ends in the league through the first 6-8 weeks.
BG needs two final sacks against Washington to hit that ever-coveted 10.0 sack total on the year. Here’s to hoping he gets that too.
