Alec Bohm makes the All-Star game.

This one is the hardest to predict – due to it being dependent on how other players play as well – but I feel pretty good about it regardless. Alec Bohm had an absolutely incredible rookie year, one that would’ve likely seen him earn an All-Star nod had it been a regular, full season.

Bohm hit .338 with an .881 OPS over the course of 180 plate appearances in 2020. While it’s unreasonable to expect Bohm to keep that up over a full 162-game season, the young righty definitely has the profile of someone who can hit .300+ in the major leagues.

He’s big, strong, athletic, and possesses a unique ability at the plate to hit the ball to multiple areas of the field. In the era of “launch angle”, this is somewhat of a dying art. To see someone of Bohm’s size be able to slap doubles opposite way is truly a special sight.

As long as Bohm isn’t a complete disaster in the field, and the Phillies don’t bottom out record wise, the 24 year old infielder should be in a pretty good spot to crack the All-Star game. Not many players hit .300+ these days, and very few are able to do it while also driving in runs like Bohm does.
