The Philadelphia Eagles select…

WR. 38. player. 54. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Purdue. Rondale Moore

With Surtain II being the pick in the first-round, snatching up a wide receiver here at pick #39 was the obvious play. There wasn’t a ton of options on the board, but Purdue’s Rondale Moore has the potential to be a game changer in the Philadelphia Eagles offense.

Howie Roseman and co. tried to rejuvenate the Eagles offensive with Jalen Reagor last draft, and it didn’t particularly work. Reagor hasn’t looked like the most explosive of players, and John Hightower and Quez Watkins are backups (for what that’s worth).

Bringing in Moore gives the Eagles another shot at having an elite deep threat, as he has some of the best speed in the class.

Described as being a “human joystick”, Moore offers a ton in terms of YAC ability and deep route running. He’s undersized at 5-9, 175lbs, but the Eagles could totally give Greg Ward Jr. the boot and slide Moore into the slot.

Moore doesn’t project to be some superstar WR1, but he’s another weapon to add to the mix. He’s lightning quick, super explosive, and is a fantastic ballcarrier. Whether it’s Doug Pederson or someone else calling plays in 2021, Moore is a Swiss army knife that can be utilized in all sorts of ways.
