Miles Sanders

Once he got over his initial injury, Miles Sanders has been pretty darn good this season. He currently ranks second in the league in yards per carry, and his ability to break off giant runs at any point in time has been massive.

With that said, we’ve really yet to see the dual-threat side of Sanders’ game this season, a side of Miles that was routinely leaned on down the stretch in 2019. He had some major drop issues early in the year, and it was clear that him and Carson Wentz just weren’t on the same page in terms of getting Sanders the ball via the air.

On Sunday against the Saints, that appeared to change.

Sanders caught four passes on five targets, adding a clean 21 yards to his game total. While it wasn’t Alvin Kamara-esque production out of the backfield, it was undoubtedly a step in the right direction. With Hurts still figuring out the Eagles offense, having that “safety blanket” of Sanders catching passes out of the backfield is massive.

Just like last year, Sanders heating up down the stretch could carry the Eagles to a mildly undeserved division crown. If he keeps on catching balls the way he did against New Orleans, we could be in store for another couple giant games out of #26.
