Best Bets for the Philadelphia Eagles vs. New Orleans Saints in Week 14.

It’s going to be an interesting Sunday afternoon in Philadelphia. The Philadelphia Eagles welcome the New Orleans Saints into town in a matchup between the best team in the NFC against one of the worst teams in the NFC. Spoiler alert: the Eagles are not the best team in the NFC.

The biggest storyline of this game couldn’t be more obvious. The Eagles will be starting a new quarterback this week, as Jalen Hurts will be making his first career start on Sunday after replacing Carson Wentz last week against the Green Bay Packers. Who the starter will be in games beyond is still in question, but for one week, Hurts will be running the show on offense.

With two back up quarterbacks set to take the field this week, Hurts for the Eagles and Taysom Hill for the Saints, it will definitely have implications for all of the bettors out there. Looking at the lines and player props, all of them seem to be affected with two backups starting in this game. With that said, here are the best bets available in the matchup between the Eagles and New Orleans Saints in Week 14. All odds and lines are presented by the FanDuel Sportsbook.

Jalen Reagor Over 2.5 Receptions (-120)

Slowly but surely, the Eagles are giving their first-round pick a bigger role on the offense.

Since returning from injury, Jalen Reagor is seeing his role expand on this Eagles team. From the basic route concepts to tunnel screens to end arounds, the Eagles are starting to use Reagor more to what his skill set actually is. They even put him back deep for a punt return against the Packers, and he took one to the house. It’s easy to say that he should keep returning punts from here on out.

It’s even easier to say that his role should continue to be expanded on in this Eagles offense. This week, I believe it will be.

The Philadelphia Eagles might be starting a new quarterback this week in Hurts, but they are also inserting a quarterback who Reagor is very familiar with.

Reagor and Hurts both come from the same college conference in the Big 12, where they had a chance to see each other play in their last season. The two were also the first two selections in the 2020 NFL Draft for the Eagles. Heck, the two share the same name.

With all of this said, there’s a clear connection between the two, as we saw on the deep ball the two connected on the right when Hurts entered the game. Reagor looks to be the receiver that Hurts has the most confidence and connection with on this team, and I think he will rely on his fellow rookie on Sunday, going well over the 2.5 reception mark set.
