Jaylen Waddle, WR

The third and final wide receiver that I’m going to include on this list, Alabama’s Jaylen Waddle is yet another option the Philadelphia Eagles could turn to in terms of fixing their broken passing offense. A 5-10 speedster coming out of one of the top collegiate programs in the nation, Waddle  projects to be one of the best slot receivers in this year’s draft class.

Waddle saw limited action in 2018 and 2019 due to ‘Bama’s loaded WR room, but he quickly established himself as a first-round talent here in 2020. He started off the season in electric form before suffering a season-ending ankle injury, but that in all honesty might not affect his potential top ten pick status. He was that good prior to getting hurt (557 yards in four games).

Waddle also provides quite a bit in terms of special teams ability, as he has three total career punt/kick return TDs. Even with Reagor in town, the Eagles are still in desperate need of a reliable, explosive return man.

Like previously stated, Waddle projects best as a slot receiver in the NFL, which is an underrated need for the Eagles heading into 2021. Greg Ward has been serviceable, but at some point the team does need to move on from the college QB turned WR.
