Penei Sewell, LT

If Howie Roseman is still captaining this ship by the time the 2021 Draft rolls around, he’ll undoubtedly do a ton of research on potential first-round offensive linemen. He’s long valued the trenches over everything else, and his team’s collapse at the position this year is a huge reason both Wentz and the offense as a whole have failed to click.

While they did just use a first-rounder on left tackle Andre Dillard, opinion of him appears to be quickly fading. He had a really rough rookie season, his name popped up quite a bit in trade talks around the 2020 Draft, and he was struggling in training camp prior to his biceps injury.

Considering the fact that we’re going to be two years deep into Dillard’s rookie contract before seeing him operate as a starter, it wouldn’t surprise me all that much to see the Philadelphia Eagles poke around the LT market.

Coming out of Oregon, Penei Sewell is pretty much everyone’s top rated lineman. He’s incredibly young, has elite athleticism and strength, and stands in at an impressive 6-5, 325 lbs. Effectively everything you could ask for out of a franchise LT.

It’s hard for me to imagine Sewell slipping past a team like the Bengals come draft night, but if he’s available when the Eagles are on the clock, I expect them to seriously consider it.
