Philadelphia Eagles: Best Bets for Week 13 against the Green Bay Packers
Carson Wentz Over 1.5 Passing Touchdowns (+136)
We’re going to ride another week with this prop bet.
Two times already this season, Carson Wentz has cashed in on the over for his passing touchdowns for the games we have provided. Granted, last week’s second touchdown against Seattle came in the closing seconds of the game, but it still counts and puts money in our bettor’s pockets.
Not only are we relying on our gut instincts, but also by the statistics.
In seven of his eleven games this year, Wentz has gone over the 1.5 passing touchdown mark, including six of his last seven games going over this mark. Looking at the other side of the ball, the Green Bay Packers have allowed opposing quarterbacks to throw over 1.5 passing touchdowns in seven of their eleven games this season.
If the Eagles can put a few drives together and get the ball down to the red zone, they can let Wentz find his receivers in the end zone and put points on the board. On the season, the Packers give up touchdowns on 66.7 percent of their defensive red zone opportunities, good for 24th in the NFL. Given his struggles, Wentz can still dial it up when needed in the red zone.
As bad as the quarterback play has been this season for the Philadelphia Eagles, Carson Wentz is still cashing in on his passing touchdown total for bettors this season. Given the recent games and other statistics coming in, it’s setting up for Wentz to reach this number again on Sunday.
