The Philadelphia Eagles could be looking to ship out some players prior to the 4PM trade deadline.

The trade deadline is upon us, and the Philadelphia Eagles could very well be looking to shed some players this go around. The team has historically been “buyers” at the last couple of deadlines, but this year has played out a tad differently.

While they are currently expected to host a playoff game in a few months, the team is still 3-4-1, and ranks towards the bottom of the league in a handful of categories.

They’ll definitely push hard to secure the NFC East crown for the second year in a row, but that doesn’t mean they won’t start prepping for the future as well. With that in mind, here are the five players that are most at risk of getting dealt today:

Vinny Curry

A fan favorite in Philadelphia, Vinny Curry is a borderline Eagles legend. He gave the team some seriously solid production through the first five years of his career, culminating in a Super Bowl victory. His return to the team in 2019 was met with plenty of praise, and he rewarded the team’s decision to bring him back by posting 5.0 sacks in limited snaps.

Despite initially allowing him to test free agency, the Philadelphia Eagles brought back Curry once more this past offseason. He got injured Week 1 against Washington, and just recently retuned against Baltimore back in Week 6.

Curry wouldn’t command a ton of value on the open market due to his age and his recent injury, but contending teams are always looking to add pass rushers. His sack and TFL against Dallas this past weekend could see teams spark some interest in the veteran edge.

We all love Vinny, but at some point in time there’s just no longterm future for him in Philly. Dealing him for a Day 3 pick wouldn’t be bad business in the slightest.
