Best Bets for the Philadelphia Eagles vs. Dallas Cowboys in Week 8.

Coming off of a late-game thriller in Week 7, the Philadelphia Eagles find themselves in another primetime divisional matchup against the Dallas Cowboys in Week 8. Another week where two teams face off in the poor NFC East, as the Eagles and Cowboys come in at 2-4-1 and 2-5, respectively. Just like last week, this game is for first place in the division.

It will be Carson Wentz of the Eagles facing off against Ben DiNucci of the Cowboys, a seventh-round rookie getting his first start tonight. As big of a mismatch this seems and as large as the point spread has become (Eagles -10.5), this should still be a close, interesting game.

With another NFC East primetime matchup coming tonight, let’s put some money on the line. After going 2-1 on the Best Bets of Week 7, it’s time to look at the three best bets for this week’s matchup between the Philadelphia Eagles and Dallas Cowboys. All odds and lines are presented by the FanDuel Sportsbook.

Greg Ward Over 37.5 Receiving Yards (-110)

After being a late-season hero off of the practice squad in 2019, Greg Ward has had a solid 2020 campaign for the Philadelphia Eagles. He’s become a starting receiver for the team and worked a lot out of the slot for his catches. As decimated as the team has been at receiver, he has stepped up and become a reliable pass catcher for Carson Wentz. Expect his strong play to continue in tonight’s game.

Last year against the Cowboys, Ward had 4 catches for 71 yards in the game that ultimately decided the NFC East. This Cowboys defense is arguably way worse than last year, and Ward seems to get better with more reps. He has gone over 37.5 receiving yards in three of his last five games and should have a favorable matchup against the Cowboys’ secondary.

Look for Ward to be targeted on third down and pick up big yards to keep the offense moving for the Philadelphia Eagles.
